LOCI™ Library Computer Carrels Vocus Public Relations have sweeping curvilinear contours. Privacy never looked so good! The LOCI™ Carrel System consists of either single or back-to-back stand-alone privacy panels that are engineered for setup at any of three heights: 28” for laptop use or for using a keyboard on the desktop, 30” for use with a keyboard tray, or 36” for standing. Endlessly modular, Add-On units continue the string of carrels to fit any floor plan. LOCI™ Carrels may be configured for a mixture of heights and installed options. This flexibility makes LOCI™ Carrels unique, along with SMARTdesks’ ability to mix and match laminate and melamine designer surfaces to complement discriminating interior design treatments.
At times you need a computer or a laptop, and at other times it’s just in the way. Genuine, patented flipIT® products make computers and laptops available to carrels, and provides the technology be an option which can be hidden when not in use. The flipIT® Convertible Computer Display Vocus Public Relations is sized for use with 20” diagonal monitors, VESA mount, with case width 18.875” max. The keyboard tray is pulled to actuate the opening. Engineered for smooth, safe operation. The flipIT® Laptop Safe has a plunge lock that locks without a key—the key is only needed to unlock the safe. Laptops may be connected to power and data inside the safe and operated without relying on batteries. Locking cable tethers may also be used to secure institutional laptops.
LED task lighting is an energy saving option. A strip of 24 LEDs, 2 watts each, provides additional lighting in the carrel in a way that takes up no workspace. Provides even lighting for reading, yet friendly to LCD displays, iPads and other devices. This permits ambient lighting for the room to be lower to reduce facility operation costs.

American Steel or Metal and Sheet components used in all FlipIT Products and accessories have 25% recycled content, and all steel is 100% recyclable. All scrap steel produced in the manufacturing process is recycled. Primary materials used in the manufacture of SMARTdesks® products include particleboard (PB) and medium density fiberboard (MDF), which are manufactured to strict quality control standards with recycled and recovered wood fiber. These products may contribute towards specific credits under the US Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) criteria.
